Bay Of Plenty Region
The Bay of Plenty region is the northern coast of New Zealand's North Island. It stretches 260 km from the Coromandel Peninsula in the west to Cape Runaway in the east.
Some of the main areas of the Bay of Plenty region include Tauranga its main City, Rotorua, Whakatane, Ohope and Waihi Beach.
The beautiful Mount Maunganui is part of Tauranga, and is up their as one of the best beaches NZ has to offer. Surrounded by a fabulous city and amazing eateries its not hard to see why.
You can also climb to the top of the mount and see the sights from above !!!
Whakatane is the regions sunshine capital and also the cultural hub of the region. This is the place to stay if you want to immerse you self in some culture history, explore Moutohora Island or take a bike ride around the Motu Trails.
Ohope Beach is just a short ten minute drive over the hill from Whakatane and is the perfect spot if you want to get out and do a bit of water adventures. With plenty of kayaking, surfing and even jet boat rides on offer it is definitely the spot to go if you want a bit more adventure in your holiday.
