Christchurch City is at the heart of the Canterbury region.
This City is every changing and growing after the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes that rocked the city to its core.
Christchurch has grown strong and been reborn in a new vibrant city with so much to offer.
One of the really neat things about Christchurch at the moment is every visit their is something new to explore. With new shops, cafe and eateries opening all the time during the rebuild .
We actually lived in Christchurch for around 8 years during the time of the earthquakes, so we have a strong emotional connection to the region.
It is always amazing and heart warming every visit to see new and old places opening up and watching the city grow again.
Their is so much to see and do around the city, with something to offer every time of adventurer.
With lots of beautiful parks and walks to explore, plenty of bays and beaches as well. You can hike, bike, boat or even punt your way around Christchurch and explore everything it has to offer.
And don't worry their are plenty of amazing places to eat as well, so you can work up an appetite exploring by day and dine till your hearts content at night.
