Havelock

Havelock the little town which streets were layed back in 1858,is the home of the Green shelled Mussel, and gate way to the sounds.

This small but busy little village has a lot to offer, from a range of wonderful dinning options to walks and historical locations.

No matter if your just passing through or staying for a few days there is plenty to fill your time.

You can find plenty of local information at the I-Site in the old postal building on the main street.

It is also a great place to stay to enjoy the wider Te Hoiere area from, with everything close by you can explore the area with ease.

Short/Day Walk		Havelock Waterfall Walk	Situated at the base of the Mt Takorika walkway, this short walk is a great leg stretch and fun to do with the kids.
Short/Day Walk		Motuweka Pathway	This short walk takes you to the head of the Havelock Marina inlet, it is a great bird watching area as well.
