The Pelorus Sounds / Te Hoiere, makes up the the largest part of the Marlborough sounds area.

It covers right from the far Port Ligar in to Havelock, and covers places like Nydia bay, French Pass and Elaine Bay.

It is also home to Maud Island a beautiful nature reserve with in the sounds.

There is many many different parts of the Pelorus sounds you can explore by boat, bike, car or even walking.

Havelock is a great access point to many parts of the Pelorus sounds, you will find boat access to many areas from here.

There is also plenty of accommodation within the sounds area, Doc has many camp sights and you will also find plenty of holiday homes or batches as well on offer.
